Shashank Khaitan's Badrinath Ki Dulhania has become the third 100 crore film for Varun Dhawan whereas the second one for Alia Bhatt. The film is now looking to end its run at the box-office at a collection close to Rs 115 crore.
Despite the examination period, the film stood its ground on the strength of audience word of mouth and is the biggest hit of the year till date in terms of return on investment. The Varun Dhawan – Alia Bhatt film was made on a restrained budget wherein sale of satellite and music rights in itself made it a safe project for the producers and distributors alike.
Badrinath Ki Dulhania did well across the country with Delhi, UP and Mumbai being the best performing territories.
