Siddhant Chaturvedi who was hitting the headlines when Ranveer Kapoor-Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy released last year on 14th February. The actress was lauded for his acting as MC Sher and even received a special note of appreciation from Bollywood’s Shehensha Amitabh Bachchan. The actor has made a big name in the industry and now his kitty is filled with projects.
However, now there is a recent update that the actor is going to receive Best Male Debut Award at the prestigious festival in cinema the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards (DPIFF). The actor will get the award for his debut in Zoya Akhtar’s directorial on 20th February.
The press conference held to introduce DPIFF was attended by Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ramesh Sippy, Elli Avram, Kiran Juneja, Chandrashekar Pusalkar, Aparna Acharekar, Badal Saboo, Nivedita Saboo, Pakkhi Hegde and Zuber K Khan. The conference was held to introduce the highlights of the event and some in-depth discussion on cinematic topics. During this even they also announced the name of one winner who will receive the award on the D-day.
DPIFF CEO Abhishek Mishra expressed his happiness over the response they are receiving from the audience. He said, “I’m honoured to be serving as the CEO of DPIFF as well as the member of the censor board. The noble work that DPIFF is doing other than being a prestigious title and celebrating the grandeur of Indian Cinema, is beyond commendable. I'm extremely grateful to the entire team for being so supportive and hardworking.”
On the work front, the actor will soon hit the big screens with Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji's starrer Bunty Aur Babli 2, helmed by Varun V Sharma.
