Shahid Kapoor is on his success run these days and this year he got his biggest blockbuster ever in form of Kabir Singh. The film was an official remake of Telugu film Arjun Reddy, and it turned out the first solo blockbuster film for the actor. Now reports are that Shahid Kapoor has signed another remake of a Telugu film.
According to the reports, Shahid Kapoor has said yes for the Hindi remake of Telugu hit film 'Jersey' starring Nani. The Hindi remake will also be directed by Gowtham Tinnanauri, who also directed the original one.

Director for casting Shahid Kapoor in the film says, "I'm really looking forward to remaking my film 'Jersey' in Hindi and taking it to national audiences and there is no one better than Shahid Kapoor to recreate the magic of the original for Hindi audiences"
The Telugu film Jersey was a surprise hit at the box office and it revolves around the protagonist named Arjun (Nani) who wants to play for an Indian cricket team. However, destiny has something different for him and it puts him into the struggle for playing cricket. The film has actress Shraddha Srinath as Arjun's wife and actor Sathyaraj (known for his role Kattapa in Baahubali) as Arjun's cricket coach.
The Hindi remake of Jersey will be produced by Allu Aravind, Aman Gill, and Dil Raju. It will be their first Hindi film after making so many biggies in Telugu cinema. The film is scheduled to release on 28th August 2020.
