Confirmed! Fatima Sana Shaikh in Thugs of Hindostan

Since last few months, there have been many speculations about who will be the female lead in Thugs of Hindostan.

The film stars Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan together for the first time. Alia Bhatt's name also came up but finally Fatima Shaikh has been zeroed in for the role.
Fatima Sana Shaikh had made her debut in Dangal, where she played Aamir Khan's daughter.

Writer-director of Thugs of Hindostan, Vijay Krishna Acharya said, “The role of the girl is pivotal to the film so it was crucial for us to find the perfect fit. Through a rigorous round of auditions and action workshops, we found in Fatima a truly dedicated actor and a gifted performer of action. We are very happy to have found the perfect girl for our film."

This will be the second time that Vijay Krishna Acharya (Victor) will be directing Aamir Khan after the blockbuster Dhoom 3.

The film is said to begin the shoot from June 1 and is scheduled to release in Diwali 2018.
