Deepika Padukone, Vikrant Massey starrer Chhapaak made headlines when the actress made a surprise visit at JNU campus to express solidarity. The film was released yesterday at 1700 screens in India and 460 screens overseas. In the film, Deepika won millions heart with her stellar performance.
At its first day Chhapaak opened its account with decent numbers, according to Box Office India, the film has collected Rs 4.75 crore after right-wings people boycotting her film after her JNU stint.

Talking about the film, the actress and Meghna Gulzar received immense applaud for the film by the commoners and the celebs. Panga actress Kangana made a video which was posted by Rangoli, in the video, we can see her praising the Chhapaak team and saying that the trailer reminded her of Rangoli’s struggle who is also an acid attack survivor.

Well, if the start is steady then as per the analyst the holidays Saturday and Sunday might bring double digits easily. However, the film is clashing with Ajay Devgn, Kajol and Saif Ali Khan’s Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior which has a bigger mass appeal than Chhapaak.
