Chhapaak actress Deepika Padukone who was being slammed over her JNU visit before the release of her film is back in the news. The actress whose film was released on 10th January is being slammed by Twitterati after she dropped a TikTok challenge on ‘acid attack’ look. Not just her netizens are also trolling her PR team for taking up such a cheap way to promote their film.
This all started when Deepika met TikTok star who is a makeup artist and asked her to recreate her three favourite looks from Om Shanti Om, Piku and most talked about Chhapaak. After watching this video user took to their Twitter handle and lashed at the actress for being insensitive. One of the users wrote, “And just when we thought that @deepikapadukone couldn’t mock Lakshmi anymore through her PR stunts in JNU she comes up with tiktok challenge on acid attack victims. Gross.”

Another user wrote, “This promo isn't cool or cute. It's insensitive & ghastly. The movie wasn't about you & your make up. It was about a woman scarred for life. And victims like her, whose marks can't be wiped off, unlike your make up.”
Here have a look at threads of tweet:

Honestly expected @deepikapadukone who has been through her own mental breakdowns to be more sensitive. But clearly..no.

Acid attack survivors’ faces aren’t “looks” for makeup artists to try on for a few minutes to showcase their talent. There are endless “looks” for them to try & experiment, trauma however isn’t one. Deepika Padukone’s PR team really out here being insensitive for TIK TOK, gross.

This is not the first incident that brought trouble to the movie or the actress earlier Deepika hit the headlines for her surprise visit at JNU and then a rumour about the altered religion of the acid attacker.
