Box office: Munna Michael performs better than Lipstick Under My Burkha

Tiger Shroff’s film collected decent amount on day one

Tiger Shroff’s film Munna Michael which starred newbie Nidhhi Agerwal and is directed by Sabbir Khan. On the day one the film had average occupancy and it collected Rs. 6.63 crore. Although these figures are decent but Tiger and Sabbir’s previous film Baaghi opened well with more than Rs 11 crore. The film is being screened at 3000 screens, as the expectations were high from this film considering the scale of promotions.

It is said that Munna Michael has been facing tough competition from Alankrita Shirvastava’s Lipstick Under My Burkha. Which had 60 % occupancy on day one and it collected Rs. 1.22 crore approximately. The stars Konkana Sen Sharma, Ratna Pathak Shah, Aahahan Kumra and Plabita Borthakur, it earned lot of publicity after being asked to be banned by Censor Board earlier.

Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk too has done a good business at Box office in India. It has earned Rs. 3. 60 crore
