Box Office Collection: Varun Dhawan’s Judwaa 2 and Rajkummar Rao’s Newton continue to do well

Varun Dhawan’s Judwaa 2, which released on September 29, is still doing well at box office. The film, which stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu, has managed to collect Rs 200 crore worlds wide. In the third weekend it has earned Rs 133.03 crore in India.


On the other hand Rajkummar Rao’s Newton, which is India’s official entry for Oscar Awards this year, has been receiving rave reviews and the film too has become hit. In the fourth week of its release, it has earned Rs. 22.18 crore.

Meanwhile, it is expected that Judwaa 2 dream run at box office may be halted next week by Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar which also features Zaira Wasim and Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal Again. Both the films are set to release on same day and are likely to get good opening considering long Diwali weekend and holidays. Golmaal Again stars Ajay Devgn, Parineeti Chopra, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Kemmu, Tabu and Neil Nitin Mukesh. The makers have started booking for the film a month in advance both in India as well as at overseas market.
