Box office clash: Golmaal Again, Secret Superstar all set to take Diwali challenge

Finally the biggest festival of India, Diwali is back and like always this time also Bollywood is ready to have a box office clash on this weekend. This time multi-starring film Golmaal Again and Aamir Khan, Zaira Wasim starring Secret Superstar is all set to clash at the box office.

The Diwali weekend has always been profitable for Bollywood and its films and the trend of clashing films on Diwali is very old. Even we look at the history we have many examples of box office clashes. Even though we should say that only films like Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Happy New Year, Ra. One and others have got a solo release on Diwali weekend.

If we look at the past record of Diwali clashes then films like Don: The Chase Begins - Jaan-e-man in 2006, Saawariya - Om Shanti Om in 2007, Golmaal Returns - Fashion in 2008, All The Best: Fun Begins - Blue - Main Aur Mrs Khanna in 2009, Golmaal 3 - Action Replayy in 2010, Son of Sardaar - Jab Tak Hai Jaan in 2012, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil - Shivaay in 2016 have clashed at the box office on Diwali.

However, sometimes both films have got profit and sometimes one had to face a loss. Now when we are talking about Golmaal Again and Secret Superstar, so this time also Golmaal Again is much ahead of Secret Superstar. Why we are saying this is just because of two factors with Golmaal, first Ajay Devgn had never face failure on Diwali and then Golmaal franchise itself had never face a loss on Diwali.

This is the first time when Aamir Khan is clashing with any film and that too on Diwali, however, Aamir has not played a full-fledged role in the film. So, this factor will also not in support of him. Golmaal is itself a brand now and they don't need such big promotions to tell that Rohit Shetty is back with his own franchise and that too on Diwali. So if we look at the current scenario Golmaal Again is surely a winner at the box office, however, prediction can fail in future.
