Bhoomi box office collection day 1: Sanjay Dutt's comeback film gets a decent opening

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt came back on the silver screens with his movie Bhoomi that got released on 22nd September. The movie which is a revenge drama managed to get a decent start at the box-office. According to trade analyst, Taran Adarsh, the movie earned about Rs 2.25 cr crore after the first day of it's release.

The Omung Kumar's directorial shows the relationship between a father and a daughter where the role of father is played by Sanjay Dutt and role of daughter is played by Aditi Rao Hydari. Along with Bhoomi two more movies got released Rajkummar Rao's Newton which is also expected to do well and Shraddha Kapoor's Haseena Parkar.

The director of the film Omung Kumar had called his film Sanjay Dutt's "best performance till date". However the movie did not performed so well as it was expected on the first day and also failed to impress the critics but it will be interesting to see how other movies will do on the box office.
