Badrinath Ki Dulhania box-office: Varun – Alia film trends well in opening week!

Badrinath Ki Dulhania showed a positive trend in its first week as the film raked in around Rs 73 crore in its 7 day run at the box-office.

The Varun Dhawan – Alia Bhatt film got the benefit of Holi in the interiors on Monday and Tuesday which helped it hold the ground at a higher level than expected.

Day wise box office collection:

• Opening Weekend: Rs 43.05 crore
• Monday: Rs 12.08 crore
• Tuesday: Rs 7.52 crore
• Wednesday: Rs 5.95 crore
• Thursday: Rs 5.06 crore
• Total: Rs 73.66 crore

The film is expected to do well in its second week as well due to lack of competition and it might even breach past the Rs 100 crore mark by the end of week two.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania is made on a controlled budget and is a profitable venture for all associated with it. The romantic comedy is already a hit and might end up being a super-hit by the end of its run at the ticket window.
