Ayushmann Khurrana ops out of the sequel of Happy Bhaag Jayegi 2

The makers of the 2016 comedy film Happy Bhaag Jayegi starring Diana Penty, Abhay Deol, Ali Fazal and Jimmy Shergill are all set to make a sequel but this time around with a newer cast.

Recently, Sonakshi Sinha was roped in for the lead role. The makers then approached Ayushmann Khurrana.

According to sources, “Ayushmann was Anand’s choice, now that he’s worked with him in Shubh Mangal Savdhaan. He offered the Happy... sequel to Ayushmann.”

But the actor had to say no for the film due to date issues. His spokesperson confirms that Ayushmann was approached for Happy Bhaag Jayegi 2, but adds, “He is shooting for Sriram Raghavan’s next directorial. So he cannot accommodate dates.”
