This tweet started the war of words between Anil and Anurag. Responding to the tweet, Anurag asked Anil Kapoor where is his Oscar for Slumdog Millionaire, after this, the duo started taking a dig at one another.
"Nice to see some deserving people get international recognition. Waise, aapka Oscar kidhar hain (Where is your Oscar)? No? Achha... nomination?"

As we all know that Shah Rukh Khan was the first person for Slumdog Millionaire and therefore, the filmmaker took a jibe at Anil in SRK’s style, “Says the k-k-k-ing of hand-me-down films. Weren’t you the second choice for this film also?”

Anil Kapoor gave a befitting reply to Anurag and wrote, "Hand-me-down or pick-me-up: I don’t care. Work is work. Tumhare jaise kaam dhoondte waqt baal toh nahi nochne padte. #actorlife."
