Last year director Luv Ranjan announced his next film with Ajay Devgn, Ranbir Kapoor, and Deepika Padukone. Recently, there were the reports that the film has shelved, however, none of the team denied those reports, but a source confirmed that those rumours are untrue.
According to a media report, Luv Ranjan will start the shooting of the film from March 2020 with Ranbir Kapoor, however, Ajay Devgn won't be a part of the film. The reports suggest that the delay in the project made Ajay Devgn to take this decision. He is now looking after Neeraj Pandey's next political-thriller film Chanakya.
Bollywood Hungama quoted a close source, "It is yet to take off as it has been in the scripting stages for over a year and Ajay cannot hold onto his dates anymore. Luv’s movie was said to roll by the end of the year but has apparently been delayed again. He may start shoot with Ranbir (after he completes the shoots for Ayan Mukerji‘s Brahmastra and Karan Malhotra’s Shamshera) by March next year. Buzz is that apart from date issues, Ajay is not happy with the script and has opted out of Luv’s movie. The superstar is more excited about Neeraj Pandey’s modern-day, socio-political drama, which Neeraj recently narrated to him,"
The source also told that the film is a story of an old man, his second wife and his feud son. Ajay Devgn was supposed to play Ranbir's father in the film but now things have got stuck. While Neeraj Pandey directorial is promising amazing character to Ajay Devgn.
