Ajay Devgn confirms making Battle of Saragrahi

Ajay reveals that he is set to release his film in 2019

 Ajay Devgn had announced Battle of Saragrahi long time ago. However the film has not gone on floor yet. Meanwhile, Karan Johar along with Salman Khan was also supposed to make a film on same subject which features Akshay Kumar. Now during media interaction to promote his next film Baadshaho Ajay said that he is making a film on a grand scale as declared before and it is going to release in 2019.

 Incidentally, Ajay also confirmed the rumours that Salman has backed out of the film. He said that Salman is not part of it but if anyone else is making it then let them make and release. Karan and Ajay have had ugly box office clash last year when Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay released together, Ajay had accused Karan of manipulating reviews and when Kajol supported him, Karan chose to distance himself from his friend Kajol. Recently when Akshay was asked about it, he said that they are still working on it and everyone will know soon if Salman is associated with the film or not. Earlier Akshay had said that the film will release in 2018 but the casting is yet to be done and the project has not gone on floor.

 Meanwhile Rajkumar Santoshi too is making a film on Battle of Saragrahi with Randeep Hooda, but the film has been stuck after the shooting of a couple of schedules.
