After writing an open letter to Kangana Ranaut, playback singer Sona Mohapatra has slammed celebrities and their paid PR armies on Tuesday.
In a series of tweets, Sona replied to all the backlash she has been receiving for the letter in which she wrote the 'Queen' star was guilty of 'doing a disservice to feminism' by 'washing her dirty linen' in public.
She tweeted:
filmi bots, please note that I opine on a lot of issues on my pages. My life does not start-stop with bolly-land & I give a flying fuck for u.

I have also figured how your paid pr & digital armies work to keep your celebrities on the covers, in press & everywhere else. So, buzz off

& I am tired of a nation deifying just 1/2 category of people.I know of higher standards & we have to look beyond this celebrity circus trap

On #TeachersDay I hope for this more than anything else #India, that we revisit our fundamentals in terms of choosing our 'heroes' wisely.

Sona wrote an open letter for the 'Tanu weds Manu' star on her Facebook page on Monday. She was of the opinion that Kangana's latest interview was a 'part of a professional PR campaign' before her next film, 'Simran' is released and said that the PR stunt was 'in bad taste'.
