Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar was last seen in S Shankar directorial 2.0 starring alongside Rajinikanth in the leading role. 2.0 was a Tamil film directed by S Shankar and the film did an amazing box office collection. After 2.0, director S Shankar announced his next film Indian 2 starring Kamal Haasan, and there are the reports that the director has approached Akshay Kumar once again to play leading villain in Indian 2.
This is to notice that Indian 2 is a sequel to 1994 released film starring Kamal Haasan as the main lead and recently makers released the first poster of the film. Earlier director S Shankar approached Ajay Devgn for this part he was supposed to play the role of a cop. Even Shankar and Ajay were very keen to join the film together but due to some prior commitments, Ajay failed to do the film.

The source related to the project said, “Both, Ajay and Kamal, were keen to collaborate on this film. However, for various reasons, including his prior commitments, Ajay couldn’t come on board. Akshay and Shankar, who became good friends by the time 2.0 was wrapped, had reportedly spoken about working together again when something suitable came their way. And looks like that has happened soon after the film’s release,”
Significantly, S Shankar also made the sequel of his 2010 released film Robot as 2.0 starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar in the leading roles. The film did an amazing box office in Hindi as well and it collected 189 crores. Overall the film collected around 700 crores.
