Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa impressed everyone with the cinematic horror-comedy experience. The film was one of its kind of films in Bollywood and director Priyadarshan came with a remake of Tamil film. However, now it looks like that the film is going to have a sequel and that too after 12 years.
The chairman and managing director of T-Series, Bhushan Kumar has given nod to the sequel of Bhool Bhulaiyaa. According to a report of Mumbai Mirror, the producer is keen to make a sequel to BB after he is already engaged with Pati Patni Aur Who and Chupke Chupke remakes. While Ananya Pandey, Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar have decided for Pati, Patni Aur Woh, whether Rajkummar Rao to reprise Dharmendra's character.
“Bhushan wanted to make a part 2 of Bhool Bhulaiyaa for a while now and has cracked an idea with Farhad Samji, who will be writing and directing the film. It is in the development stage and will feature a fresh cast. Once the final script is locked, the team will kick off casting and other pre-production formalities,” Mumbai Mirror quoted a source.
A few weeks ago, the production house registered the title Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and with that, the reports of the film has been started. The original film had the leading star cast of Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Ameesha Patel, Shiney Ahuja, Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal and others. Well, the cast will remain the same or there will be some changes it is not clear yet.
