Farhan Akhtar, who is all geared up for his upcoming film 'Lucknow Central,' shared playing a ' Moradabad boy' was a challenging for him. The character of Kishen Mohan Girotra is an aspiring singer in the small town of Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh.
While talking exclusively to ANI, Farhan shared, "The actual task in the film was to prepare myself for the 'Moradabad Boy' as the character was really important. So, I focused much on the character rather than anything else."
Elaborating further about his character the 'Rock On!' actor shared, "In the film, I know that I am innocent. So, I didn't bind into that accused factor at all. But more than preparing for what's gonna happen in jail, it's nice to enjoy the process of discovery in doing those scenes."
Sharing his experience after meeting the original 'Healing Hearts' band, which served as an inspiration for the film, the 'Wazir' actor said, "It was very endearing to meet them and they had gigantic smiles on their faces when they were playing music. It was so nice because when they were playing the music, they didn't stop and just kept going on and on and so yes, it was very nice to meet them."
In the film, Kishen's world turns upside down when he is falsely accused of a murder and is sent to Lucknow Central jail.
' Lucknow Central' has ensemble star cast like Diana Penty, Deepak Dobriyal, Ronit Roy, Gippy Grewal, Rajesh Sharma, Inaamulhaq, Uday Tikekar, Sukh Kunwar and is slated to release on September 15.
