Elon Musk has conquered the electric-car market with Tesla and SpaceX, a company that "designs, manufactures and launches advanced rockets and spacecraft". There is also a new Neurolink brain interface company.

Now, Elon Musk's newest company, The Boring Company's boring machine has been spotted in the wild. No one really knows what the goal of The Boring Company (TBC) is, except to dig tunnels and alleviate the public from traffic woes. Well, the company now has some hardware that bears TBC logo on its big cylindrical body.

The companies cool stuff I see outside the office. Can't wait to see some tunnels! #theboringcompany #workperks

SpaceX engineers took to their Instagram to post images of The Boring Company’s tunnel digger. It's a big tubular piece of metal.

This piece of cylindrical hardware is the first glimpse into just how serious Musk is about solving traffic problems in Los Angeles.

Tesla's CEO first floated the idea back in December of 2016 when he was stuck in traffic. Creating a network of tunnels might also give Hyperloop a platform to fly its wings.

Eventually, Musk wants to create a network that includes up to 30 levels of tunnels. These tunnels would accommodate both cars and trains. One goal for Musk with this project is to make a three-dimensional transportation network.Bloomberg reports that Musk already has a boring machine. “The machine is 26 feet in diameter, about 400 feet long, weighs 1,200

Bloomberg reports that Musk already has a boring machine. “The machine is 26 feet in diameter, about 400 feet long, weighs 1,200 tons, and is nicknamed Nannie,” the story reads. Now, we can't tell whether this is Nannie or another earth-drilling machine, but nonetheless, it has been revealed to the public.

Musk, at the moment, is digging a tunnel under the SpaceX's LA headquarters parking lot.Musk says that digging under cities has a greater potential than flying vehicles, which a number of companies - including Uber - are in the middle of development.

Musk also doesn't have the permits to tunnel on public property yet. Nobody knows when Musk's tunnel bore's will become a reality, but for now, it's more than just an idea in his head.
