Cyber Safety: Google and Government to Keep an Eye on Cyber Fraud and Online Payments

Udaipur: With the increasing trend of digitalization and online payments, cases of cyber fraud have also seen a significant rise.

According to the Indian Cyber Crime Co-ordination Centre, over 7.40 lakh complaints of cyber fraud were registered until April this year. On average, 7,000 complaints are received daily, with 85% of them related to financial fraud.

To tackle this issue, Google India has launched "Digi Kavach", a state-of-the-art security system that will collect data on financial scams and create models to identify such frauds. The system will also alert authorities in case of any suspicious activity. Additionally, the government has launched the "Cyber Suspect Registry" and "Coordination Portal" to prevent cyber crimes.

Cyber security experts believe that Digi Kavach will be a boon for the common man. This advanced security system will use artificial intelligence and machine learning to keep a watch on fraudsters and alert people about potential threats. The Coordination Portal will facilitate the investigation and analysis of cyber crimes, and will also assist in tracking fake cards, accounts, and other fraudulent activities.
