Cyber Security a Priority

Udaipur: With the increasing trend of digitalization and online payments, cases of cyber fraud have also seen a significant rise.

According to the Indian Cyber Crime Co-ordination Centre, over 7.40 lakh complaints of cyber fraud were registered until April this year. On average, 7,000 complaints are received daily, with 85% of them related to financial fraud.

To tackle this issue, Google India has launched "Digi Kavach", a state-of-the-art security system that will collect data on financial scams and create models to identify such frauds. The system will also alert authorities in case of any suspicious activity. Additionally, the government has launched the "Cyber Suspect Registry" and "Coordination Portal" to prevent cyber crimes.

Digi Kavach: A Shield Against Cyber Fraud

Cyber security experts believe that Digi Kavach will be a boon for the common man. This advanced security system will use artificial intelligence and machine learning to keep a watch on fraudsters and alert people about potential threats. With features like phishing attack detection, malware detection, and online tracking protection, Digi Kavach aims to prevent cyber fraud.

Government's Cyber Suspect Registry and Coordination Portal

The Cyber Suspect Registry is a database that will store information about suspected cyber criminals, groups, or organizations. The primary objective is to enhance cyber security and prevent cyber crimes. The Coordination Portal will facilitate the investigation and analysis of cyber crimes, and will also assist in tracking fake cards, accounts, and other fraudulent activities.

Experts' Take

Cyber security experts believe that these initiatives will be a game-changer in the fight against cyber fraud. With the increasing use of digital payments and online transactions, it has become essential to take necessary precautions to prevent cyber fraud. Arvind Kishore Shahi, a cyber security expert, said, "Digi Kavach will keep a watch on fraudsters and alert people about potential threats, making it an essential tool for online safety."

Shyam Chandel, another cybercrime expert, added, "In this digital age, it is crucial to be cyber aware and take necessary precautions to prevent cyber fraud. The government's initiatives, including the launch of the "Chakshu" portal, will go a long way in preventing cyber crimes."

Stay Safe Online

With the increasing threat of cyber fraud, it is essential to take necessary precautions to stay safe online. By being aware of the risks and taking necessary measures, one can prevent becoming a victim of cyber fraud. Remember, cyber safety is everyone's responsibility.
