Udaipur (Rajasthan): After the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has said that the state is the fortress of the Bharatiya Janata Party which is going to win all the 25 seats.

"I want to thank people of Rajasthan for making the first phase of election peaceful. Voter turnout was little but I have faith that we will win these 12 seats. In Rajasthan, BJP will win the whole 25 seats. We got feedback from everywhere and people have said that we will win these 12 seats and the other 13 seats as well. I appeal that all voters should vote in the next phase," he said.

"Rajasthan is BJP's fortress and we will win 25 out of 25 seats," CM Bhajanlal added. Further, the Rajasthan CM also asserted that voter turnout was reduced everywhere due to various reasons but the voters of the BJP only have food and water after voting and he has full confidence in them.

Meanwhile, according to the Election Commission, Rajasthan recorded 57.26 per cent of voter turnout in the first phase of the Lok Sabha election.

The remaining 13 seats in Rajasthan will be contested in the second phase on April 26.

In 2019, BJP registered a sweeping victory winning 24 out of 25 seats, while Rashtriya Loktrantrik Party candidate Hanuman Beniwal won the remaining one seat.

The second phase will be held on April 26 and the remaining phases will be May 7, May 13, May 20, May 25 and June 1 accordingly. The last general elections in 2019 were also held in seven phases.
