BJP shares video of TMC MLA issuing threats to voters, says 'don't vote or face consequences' [Watch]
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Amit Malviya has put out a video of TMC MLA Naren Chakraborty issuing threats to the voters of the saffron party. Asking the Election Commission to take note of the clip, Malviya also condemned West Bengal CM and TMC chief Mamata Bannerjee and accused her of backing such MLAs.
In the video, TMC leader Naren Chakraborty asked BJP supporters not to vote else they would be found after the polls. And said if they didn’t vote, they could live in the state and do a job or business and the party would support them.

Sharing the video, BJP leader Amit Malviya said, "TMC’s Pandaveswar (Asansol) MLA Naren Chakraborty, is seen issuing open threats to BJP voters and supporters, asking them not to come out and vote, or else face consequences. Bypoll to Asansol Lok Sabha seat, along with four assembly seats, is set to take place on 12th April.
The Asansol seat fell vacant after MP Babul Supriyo resigned from the Lok Sabha in October 2021 alluding to differences with the BJP. Supriyo later joined Mamata Banerjee led Trinamool Congress (TMC).
Ballygunge assembly seat in West Bengal, meanwhile, fell vacant after sitting MLA Subrata Mukherjee passed away on 4th November, 2021 following a brief illness.
