Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has challenged Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to speak against him in Assam, accusing him of making baseless allegations of corruption.

Background
Reportedly, CM Kejriwal in Delhi Assembly had said that there are cases against Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma in other states. CM Sarma, however, denied any such cases and challenged CM Kejriwal to speak against him in Assam.

The challenge
Speaking to reporters, CM Sarma said, "Speak against me a single word that I am corrupt and next day I am going to file a defamation case, the same thing I have done against Manish Sisodia." He further added that there is no case against him in any part of the country.

The defamation case
CM Sarma also said that he wants to file a defamation case against CM Kejriwal but the latter spoke like a "coward" inside the assembly. "So let him come to Assam on April 2 and say that there is a case against Himanta Biswa Sarma, I will sue him rightly," Sarma said.

April 2 rally
CM Kejriwal is scheduled to attend a political rally in Assam on April 2. However, CM Sarma has challenged CM Kejriwal to speak against him in Assam instead of making allegations in Delhi Assembly where he cannot defend himself.
