Mumbai man makes QR tags to locate street dogs
A dog lover from Mumbai has come up with an idea to help stray dogs that is also beneficial to society. Akshay Ridlan, an engineer by profession, claims to have developed tags with QR code technology that can track homeless canines.
According to him, these tags can assist the administration in the mass vaccination and sterilization program for street dogs.
Ridlan stated that these QR code tags could also be utilized by individuals, NGOs, and other organizations that feed or rescue stray animals.
"It'll also help Govt in finding out dogs' location & making strategies for their sterilisation or vaccination. It can be done through the database. We want to offer this QR at a nominal price right now. People & organisations who feed or rescue animals can use this," Akshay said.
