Mandsaur: Mandsaur, known for its opium production, has become a hub for narcotics smuggling. While the police are working tirelessly to curb this menace, some of their own personnel are caught in the web of luxury, compromising their integrity.

In recent times, several police officers and personnel have been accused of involvement in illegal activities, including drug trafficking and loot. Despite being aware of these allegations, senior police officials have failed to take adequate action, allowing these tainted officials to continue serving in the department.

One such example is that of Constable Kirti Jat Dodachura, who was recently caught red-handed while involved in drug trafficking. This is not an isolated incident; many other police officers and personnel have been accused of similar crimes.

The lure of easy money and a luxurious lifestyle has led many police personnel to compromise their values. They have invested in expensive cars, mobile phones, and properties, often using illegal means to fund their lavish lifestyles.

According to sources, in the past three years, 12 police personnel have been dismissed from service for their involvement in illegal activities. However, this number is just the tip of the iceberg. Many more officials are suspected to be involved in such activities but have managed to escape punishment.

The root of the problem lies in the "Levish Life" that many police personnel aspire to lead. This lifestyle is characterized by the desire for luxury goods, expensive clothes, and high-end gadgets. To fund this lifestyle, many officials have resorted to illegal means, including drug trafficking and extortion.

Senior police officials have acknowledged the problem and have promised to take action against those found guilty. However, it remains to be seen whether they will be able to curb this menace and restore the integrity of the police department.

What the Police Superintendent Has to Say

"We will review the cases of police officers and personnel who have been accused of illegal activities and take action against those found guilty. A list of such officials will be prepared, and they will be transferred to other districts to prevent any further wrongdoing." - Abhishek Anand, Police Superintendent
