Sweden's Prince Carl Philip, Princess Sofia pay tribute to EDM producer and DJ Avicii
On Sunday, Sweden's Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia mourned the sudden death of Swedish DJ Avicii. In 2915, Avicii performed at their wedding and described the night as an "amazing experience."
People Magazine reported, "It is with great sadness that we received the news that Tim Bergling has died. We are grateful that we got to know him and admired him as an artist and the nice person he was," an official statement read.
"He made our wedding unforgettable with his amazing music. Our warmest thoughts go out to his family," the statement added.
The late DJ posted a picture on his Instagram and captioned it as: "Thank you so much for an amazing experience and for having me on your special night. Congratulations Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia - i wish you nothing but the best!
Tim Bergling, popularly known as Avicii, passed away at the age of 28, on April 20.
A statement from his publicist Diana Baron read, "It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii."
"He was found dead in Muscat, Oman this Friday afternoon local time, April 20th. The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given," the statement added.
He is known for his songs such as 'Wake Me Up', 'Lonely Together', and 'Levels'. The late musician retired in 2016 due to certain health issues.
