Bizzare! Indian man gets his fingernails chopped after 66 years for NYC exhibit
The 82-year-old Indian origin Shridhar Chillal who holds a Guinness World Record for having the longest fingernails in the world finally got rid of it after 66 years at The Ripley's Believe It or Not museum in Times Square.
He has been growing nails since 1952 and has been facing a lot of difficulties to perform daily chore but, finally, he is all set to cut his nails. In a 'nail clipping ceremony' organised yesterday, his nails were cut.
Shridhar Chillal posing with Ripley's Believe It or Not museum officialHis nails were approximately 909.6 centimetres long. A single nail in his thumbnail measures 197.8 centimetres. In the year 2016, he made it to the Guinness Book of World Records, 'Longest Fingernails on a Single Hand Ever'.

So, Ripley museum took Chillal from India to the United States to get his nails cut and preserve in Ripley's Believe It or Not! museum. According to Media advisory, his fingernail exhibit will be officially unveiled at the museum.
