Passenger plane crashes into Tanzania's Lake Victoria; watch rescue operation
A passenger plane crashed into Tanzania’s Lake Victoria in Tanzania on Sunday. 23 people are reported to have been rescued thus far.
Video footage and pictures of the unfortunate incident on the internet displays the aircraft almost drowned in the water line of Lake Victoria, Africa's largest lake.

The aircraft which was on its way from Mwanza to Bukoba had 49 passengers and 23 have been rescued so far according to the authorities, reported BBC News Africa.
Tanzania's largest privately owned airline, Precision Air, identified the plane as flight PW 494 and stated it was "involved in an accident as it was approaching Bukoba Airport", reported Reuters.
