On Tuesday Hafiz Saeed's political party Milli Muslim League (MML) was named as the foreign terrorist organisation by the US. Former Pak cricket captain Shahid Afridi took to twitter and wrote against India.

He wrote "Appalling and worrisome situation ongoing in the Indian Occupied Kashmir. Innocents being shot down by oppressive regime to clamp voice of self-determination & independence. Wonder where is the @UN & other int bodies & why aren't they making efforts to stop this bloodshed?."

This tweet was a mirror to PTI supremo Imran Khan's earlier tweet "Strongly condemn the brutality of Indian forces against innocent Kashmiris and the killing of unarmed civilians in IOK. The people of Pak stand with the Kashmiris democratic struggle for self-determination. The UNSC must act against Indian aggression in IOK."

The terrorists killed were from groups like Hizb-ul-Mujahideen and the Lashkar-e-Taiba and two of the terrorists had been involved in the cowardly killing of Lt Ummer Fayaz in May 2017. Besides, AK-47 and AK-74 rifles were recovered from the terrorists.

Shahid Afridi's latest tweet has drawn a lot of criticism because earlier when he was in India on the sidelines of the St. Moritz Cricket Tournament Shahid Afridi he was appreciated and praised for his gesture. In this video, he was seen asking an Indian fan to hold the national flag properly while posing for a picture.
