International Labours Day: UAE Embassy in Indonesia issues travel advisory for UAE citizens
Keeping international labours day in mind the UAE Embassy in Jakarta has advised its citizens residing or visiting the Indonesian capital be cautious.
The Embassy statement said, "The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Indonesia would like to warn all citizens and residents in Jakarta to be cautious and maintain distance from the city centre,"
It also added that as there will be labour day celebrations coinciding with the first of May, citizens should keep distance from Central Jakarta. According to Jakarta Metro Police, nearly 40,000 labourers can stage a rally to mark International Labors Day.
The Head of Public Relations department of Jakarta Argo Yuwono said the labourers will celebrate May Day with the theme "May Day is Fun Day".
The members of the national union will hold a public opinion event around the Presidential Palace, the Parliament Building Complex and the Hotel Indonesia Roundabout.
