Indonesia: 54-year-old woman swallowed by a seven-metre python
A 54-year-old Indonesian woman Wa Tiba who recently went missing was found in the belly of a seven-metre python. She was swollen by the snake while she was tending her vegetable garden. It was after the bloated snake was found in the village of Persiapan Lawela on the island of Muna, that suspicion grew.
Local police chief Hamk said, "Residents were suspicious the snake swallowed the victim, so they killed it, then carried it out of the garden," He also added that after the belly of the snake was cut open that the body of the victim woman was found inside.
She went missing in the garden which is located at the base of a rocky cliff home to snakes. Pythons of six metres are regularly seen in Indonesia and the Philippines.
