Indian terrorist Fayaz Kagzi, who taught Hindi to 26/11 terrorist Ajmal Kasab was the mastermind of 2016 Jeddah suicide bombing, confirms Saudi Arabia DNA testing
The suicide bomber who blew himself up near the United States consulate in Saudi Arabia's city of Jeddah on July 5, 2016, was an Indian national, confirmed a senior security official.
The official said, "The DNA samples sent to Saudi Arabia matched with those of the Jeddah bomber, Fayaz Kagzi, a Lashkar-e-Taiba operative."
The suicide bombing injured two security officers. It was the first suicide blast among the three attacks that day. Rest of the two attacks happened near a Shia mosque in Qatif and outside the Masjid-i-Nabvi in Medina.
The terror mastermind hailed from Maharashtra in India. He even masterminded German bakery blast in 2010 and JM Road bombing in 2012.He was also wanted in the Aurangabad arms haul case. He allegedly taught Hindi to 26/11 terrorists, including Ajmal Kasab.
Initially, Saudi authority released a picture of the bomber and named him Abdullah Qalzar Khan, a Pakistani national. Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) officers identified the picture as Fayaz Kagzi and informed their suspicion with Jeddah.
Dr Saud bin Mohammed Al Sati, Saudi Arabian ambassador to India said last week that Saudi and India have strong cooperation with India on countering terrorism. This statement was acknowledged by Indian official.
