French President Macron denied any secrecy pact on Rafale: Rahul Gandhi
First time in 15 years, The Lok Sabha of India is witnessing its first no-confidence vote against the Narendra Modi-led NDA government. During the proceeding of the Lok Sabha, Indian Congress President Rahul Gandhi brought in his discussion with the French President Emmanuel Macron.
This is what he said-:
He said that he had a discussion with the French President on the Rafale jet deal. According to him, Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had lied about it. Gandhi thundered in the Lok Sabha said, "I personally met the French President and asked him if there was a secrecy pact with India. He told me that no such pact was signed between the two countries. He said he had no hesitation in saying this and that I can tell this to my country.”
Rahul even said that the cost of a single plane during Congress rule was Rs 520 crore and now the price plane increased to Rs 1,600 crore.
Rahul said, “Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is here. She said she would reveal the price. But after that, she said clearly she cannot because the French and Indian governments have a secrecy pact. He also added that the Prime Minister has lied to the country.
