Ethiopian Airlines jet with 149 passengers on board crashes, deaths reported
Ethiopian Airlines passenger jet, flying from Addis Ababa to Kenya’s capital Nairobi, has crashed with 149 passengers on board.
The office of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed tweeted the condolence message, saying “The Office of the PM, on behalf of the Government and people of Ethiopia, would like to express its deepest condolences to the families of those that have lost their loved ones on Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 on regular scheduled flight to Nairobi, Kenya this morning.”
As per news agency Reuters, 149 passengers and eight crew members were on board and initial reports suggests that deaths have been reported but the cause still unknown.
