Dubai Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid rescues tourists stranded in desert

A group of Mexican tourists were off-roading at the Dubai dunes outside the city, when there vehicle got stuck in the desert. Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, came to rescue the tourist. He initiated the move to help pull them out of the dunes.

A Mexican woman, tweeted yesterday and shared photos following their rescue.

She wrote, "Sheikh Mohammad was passing by along with team when he saw them stranded in the dunes. He promptly ordered his associates to help the family to pull the vehicle."

"My friend and I got stuck on the desert of Dubai, and we have been rescued by His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid," she tweeted.

The stranded vehicle was pulled out of the sand and the tourists took a souvenir picture with the ruler.

This is not the first time that residents in Dubai have been through the same circumstances and received help from Sheikh Mohammad.

A few months ago, Sheikh Mohammad rescued three foreign women after their motorbike experienced breakdown in the desert of Dubai.

Last year too around the same time his son, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, lent a helping hand when he came to the aid of a lorry driver stuck in the desert. A video went viral on social media, with Sheikh Hamdan trying to pull it out with his Mercedes G series car.
