14-year-old boy tragically falls from drop tower ride; shocking deets inside

In a gut-wrenching incident, a 14-year-old boy died after falling from a drop ride at a theme park in Orlando, Florida.

Police were alerted about the incident that took place at ICON Park in Orlando just after 11 pm local time on Thursday, The Mirror reported.

According to witnesses, a rider had fallen from the ride, Fox35 reports. The 14-year-old boy was rushed to a hospital where he tragically died.

The victim has not been identified as investigations continue.

On this shocking tragedy, ICON Park has not commented yet.

The Orlando Free Fall stands at 430 feet and a maximum of 30 thrill-seekers can go on the ride.

According to the ICON Park website, it is the world’s tallest free-standing drop tower.

It is also home to the Orlando Slingshot - the tallest slingshot ride in the world.

Riders are rotated around a tower as they rise into the air.
