10,000 lives at risk in Hawaii island as 100 earthquake tremors felt, growing fear of volcanic eruption

The capital city of Hawaii, Honolulu continues to have tremors as hundreds of small earthquake continue. Officials have confirmed that there is a possibility that the active volcano in Kilauea, Hawaii can erupt. Emergency preparation has already started.

There are more than 10,000 residents in Puna county in Hawaii. They are present in an uneasy situation ahead of a volcanic eruption. According to volcano observatory, "There have been more than 500 earthquakes in a couple of days. Tremors are felt because of the magma rush,"

They also added that the earthquake magnitude of 2.0 was recorded. Pictures of the cracked road surpassed online. As if now scientists have not observed any steam or heat from the crack.

Civil Defence of Hawaii has warned residents of lower Puna which includes Nanawale, Leilani, and Kapoho to be alert in case there is an eruption. There are agencies which are active and ready for shelter. In a message, the Civil Defense Administrator said, "If they have friends and family that they can go stay within that situation if they got to vacate their houses for some time, make those arrangements, make those contacts."

In 1955 there was a similar situation which lasted for three months in lower Puna.
At least 24 separate volcanic opened up and lava flows covering about 3,900 acres of land.

According to a Civil Defense briefing, a magma or pathway of rising magma is making its way down to the lower Puna area past Highway 130. An eruption may take place.
