Woman gang-raped at knifepoint in Tamil Nadu, boyfriend thrashed

In a shocking incident, a 24-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped by three men at knifepoint in Vellore area of Tamil Nadu. The accused also allegedly beat up her boyfriend, who tried to oppose them. They also robbed them of their belongings.

According to reports, the woman filed a complaint against the three with the local police. Acting on the complaint the police launched a probe into the matter and arrested the two accused, while the third accused is absconding.

A case of rape and robbery has been registered and efforts are being made to nab the other accused, said a police officer.
