Weather Update: Heavy rainfall likely in Rajasthan, alert issued; farmers take these precautions
Due to a new weather system that has been active in the region, light to heavy showers has been recorded in several parts of Rajasthan over the past 24 hours. Karauli city witnessed the highest rainfall at 118 mm in last 24 hours.
According to Jaipur MeT Centre Director Radheshyam Sharma, the spell of rain in Eastern Rajasthan is likely to continue for the next two-three days.
Sharma said that there is a strong possibility of rain activities in some parts of Eastern Rajasthan during October 6 to 10. During this, from October 7 to 9, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in the districts of Kota, Udaipur, Ajmer, Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions, with heavy to very heavy showers at isolated places.
On the other hand, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain at isolated places in the districts of Bikaner and Jodhpur divisions of western Rajasthan during October 8 to 10.
In view of the unpredictable weather, an advisory has been issued to the farmers of the state to make proper arrangements to protect the crops kept in the open. Harvesting of Kharif crops, sowing of Rabi crops, irrigation, sprinkling etc. should be done keeping in mind the activities of rain in the coming days.

Kota, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, Sawai Madhopur, Sikar, Sirohi, Tonk, Udaipur, Karauli, Jhunjhunu, Jhalawar, Jaipur, Dungarpur, Dholpur, Dausa, Chittorgarh, Bundi, Bhilwara, Bharatpur, Baran, Banswara, There is a possibility of thunderstorms with thunder at isolated places in Alwar and Ajmer. This process is also expected to continue in most of the districts for the next three days.
