Stranded women and children were skillfully rescued by the Indian Air Force at Chandrataal near Kullu in Himachal. The air force picked up stranded women and children without landing up the helicopter.
A group of tourists, who were stuck at Chhota Dara on the way to Chandrataal, were rescued from the snowy land while the helicopter was on a hover.
Ten women tourists and three children were found stranded in a remote shelter near Chhota Dara on way to the popular destination Chandrataal towards Kunzom La. The air force brought a Mi-17V5 helicopter to hover over snow near the shelter and all ten women with three children were picked up.
Man Aman Singh Chhina, who identified himself as a journalist, shared the video of rescue and said “A great clip of a MI-17 helicopter hovering just above the snow to pick up stranded women and children near Chandratal in Himachal. A daring rescue indeed”.
