Video: Uber 'drunk' driver fell unconscious during trip; passenger forced to drive the cab to reach destination
An Uber cab passenger was allegedly forced to drive the cab in Bengaluru after the cab driver, who was drunk, fell unconscious while driving. The driver was the different person from the one whose name appeared on the app.
The passenger, Surya Oruganti, took to the Twitter to share the incident. Surya took the cab at Kempegowda International Airport but he found that the driver is different from the person whose name appeared on the app. While riding, he also found that the driver is intoxicated and unconscious. Then, he decided to drive the car himself and shot the driver’s video.
Sharing the pic of the driver and video, Surya said “@Uber_India, the ride back from Bangalore airport was not quite what I expected. The driver was drunk and drowsy. I had to pull the car over to the side and I drove all the way home. Pic with the driver in the rider seat passed out. You need to fix this @Uber , @Uber_Support”.
