Video: Careless Punjab cop pulls out gun in a shop; 'accidentally' presses trigger, one hurt
A policeman was suspended after he accidentally fired his pistol at a man operating a mobile shop in Punjab’s Amritsar. A young man working in a mobile store got hurt in an alleged accidental firing by a cop in Punjab's Amritsar, said the officials.
The accused cop has been suspended. We have recovered the CCTV footage, said Varinder Singh, ACP North, Amritsar. The police officer was caught on camera in the store pulling a gun out of his pocket and setting it on the counter.
He allegedly "misfired" at the victim, who was working in the mobile store, during the time of the incident. The injured person was taken to the hospital.

The cop quickly takes the pistol away after the man next to him picks it up and accidently pressed the trigger, injuring a young man who cannot be seen in the video.“Necessary action will be taken as per the statements of the eyewitnesses and the family. The condition of the injured person is serious”, said Varinder Singh, ACP North, Amritsar.
