UP: Shocking! 20-year-old youth rapes minor girl; slits her nose after she screams for help

A shocking news was reported from Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri district where a 16-year-old girl was raped by a 20-year-old youth at her house when she was alone on Sunday morning. The accuse identified as Gautam Raidas allegedly slit the victim’s nose when she tried to raise the alarm.

The incident came to light when the victim approached the neighbours for help who then took her to the nearby hospital and informed the police. As per reports, the girl who’s parents is daily wage labourers was alone at her home in Shardanagar area. During the afternoon, the accused forcibly entered the house while holding a knife and locked the house after entering. On seeing this the girl tried to scream for help, however, he attacked her to shut her mouth.

After attacking he raped the minor and fled from the spot. The girl then gathered all her courage and approached the neighbours who then helped her after seeing in a terrible state.

Meanwhile, the police has lodged the FIR against the accuse under Section 376 (Rape), 326 (Voluntarily causing hurt by a dangerous weapon), 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace), 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC and also under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

As per police, the victim is going under treatment at a local hospital while the accuse is on run. The SHO has assured that the strict action will be taken against the accused while the efforts to trace him is underway.
