UP Shocker: Youth strangles stepmother to death for mobile phone

In a shocking incident, a youth killed his stepmother after latter refused to give him money to buy a new mobile phone.

The incident took place in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut district. The deceased woman identified as Reshma, timesnownews.com reported.

The youth strangled his stepmother to death, and after killing her, the accused informed his father about the incident.

Police also reached the spot and sent the body of the woman for postmortem, according to Hindi daily Hindustan.

Abdurrahman, the husband of Reshma, filed a case against his accused son. The murder news has created a panic in the locality, Mohalla Islamabad of Sardhana tehsil of the district.

According to reports, the accused youth has been arrested.

The deceased woman was the second wife of Abdurrahman. While his first wife lives in another home with kids.

Murder for Money:

On Tuesday afternoon, Reshma’s stepson asked her to give Rs 10,000, which the woman refused to give as she didn’t have the amount. This made the accused filled with anger and he then strangled her.

At the time of the incident, Abdurrahman was sitting at his clinic in Ramtalliya. The accused reached his father’s clinic and after informing him about the murder, he fled from the spot.

The man lodged a written complaint against his son. He also told police that his son was not having good friends and also became a drug addict.
