UP Shocker: Boyfriend sexually assaults, murders 15-year-old girl

In yet another horrifying incident of rape and murder case reported from Uttar Pradesh where a 15-year-old girl was allegedly killed by her boyfriend.

The incident took place in the Nawabganj area of Bareilly district on February 9.

How did it happen?

According to police, on February 9, the teenage girl had gone to the market with her mother.

All of sudden, she went missing. Her parents searched for her but couldn’t find her. Hence, they approached police with their complaint against the youth, who had also gone missing.
Initially, the victim’s parents thought that their daughter had eloped with him.

According to timesnownews.com reports, the youth was allegedly having physical relations with the minor girl. Later, he came to know that she was cheating on him. In a fit of anger, he strangled her as he thought that she was in touch with somebody else. Later, he dumped the body in a field and fled, police said.

Based on the complaint filed by the girl’s parents, police registered a case under IPC sections 366 (abduction) and (abducting a woman to compel her for marriage) and initiated an investigation.

Police tracked down the accused youth on February 13 night with the help of his mobile phone’s location and took him into custody, The Times of India reported.

According to the police, the accused had dumped the body of the minor girl in a crop field. The body of the girl was recovered and sent for an autopsy on Sunday.

Police have also added sections 376 (rape) and 302 (murder) and relevant sections of the POCSO Act to the existing FIR.
