UP man murders colleague's 16-year old daughter for resisting rape
A man has been taken into custody for allegedly murdering the daughter of his colleague in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar, police said.
The 16-year-old girl was found dead in her house when her parents were not present on 31st December, New Mandi police station incharge Yogesh Sharma said.
In the time of investigation, CCTV footage revealed that Govind Kumar, who worked with the girl's father in a paper mill, was outside the girl's house, after which he was taken into custody, the officer said.
Govind Kumar has admitted that when he came to the house, the girl was all alone. The suspect strangled her to death when she resisted his attempt to rape her. Her body was hanged in the house to show it is a case of suicide, police said.
