UP man beaten to death by friends after he refuses to pay liquor money
In a recent development coming in from Uttar Pradesh, a man was thrashed to death by his friends after he refused to give money for alcohol. Following this, his lifeless body was disposed into a canal in Chilkana.
The deceased has been identified as Ranveer, aged 38. his dead body was recovered on Tuesday. Police have now registered a case against the accused on the basis of a complaint filed by the victim's wife.
The accused has been taken into police custody. On Tuesday, police recovered the dead body of the victim from the canal on Chilkana Road. The victim was a resident of Hauzkhedi area of Kutubsher, as per a report in Hindi daily Hindustan.
In her police complaint, the victim’s wife, identified as Ruby said that Ranveer's friends Sonu and Brijesh paid a visit to her house on 3rd January. They took Ranveer along with them telling him they would help him find job. And Ranveer had gone missing ever since.
When Ruby went to the house of the accused to find out about her missing husband they told her that Ranveer had gone somewhere else.
Based on Ruby’s complaint, police took Sonu and Brijesh into their custody and interrogated both of the accused in the case. In the time of interrogation, the accused told cops that they along with Ranveer were drinking alcohol near the canal on the evening of 3rd January. When Sonu and Brijesh asked Ranveer for money, a fight erupted.
Sonu and Brijesh then allegedly brutally beat-up Ranveer which led to his death. Later, they threw his dead body into the canal. SHO Surendra Singh said the accused pushed Ranveer into the canal after killing him.
