UP: Father commits suicide after murdering his son over a glass of milk
Amid coronavirus lockdown, it seems like crime has not stopped yet as another shocking news report has come to light from Uttar Pradesh where a father killed himself after ending the life of his teenage son over a glass of milk. The incident took place on late Monday night in Sohanna village in Puranpur area.
The man has been identified as Gurmukh Singh (55) who had an argument with his 16-year-old son named Jaskaran over the quantity of milk given to him.
Reports suggested that the man was rebuking his son after he had taken more milk than him.
After getting angry over this, the man shot his son dead and also brother Avtar Singh, who tried to intervene in the matter between father and son. Later, he also killed himself.
According to the reports in India TV, the father and son died on the spot but brother Avtar was rushed to the hospital, where his condition was stated to be stable.
As per the statement given by an officer of Puranpur circle Yogendra Kumar, Gurmukh Singh asked his teenage son to fetch a glass of milk for him. However, he lost his cool after he saw that his son who was studying in class 12, brought a half-filled glass of milk.
Reportedly, at the time of crime scene, Gurmukh Singh's wife and daughter were not present.
Police are doing its further investigation into the matter. The FIR was lodged against the deceased, Gurmukh Singh, under IPC sections 302 (murder) and 307 (attempt to kill).
