TN Shocker: 27-year-old man takes drastic step after girlfriend ends relationship

In a shocking incident, a 27-year-old man from Kamatchipuram, Tamil Nadu, ended his life after his girlfriend broke up with him.

According to timesnownews.com reports, the depressed man allegedly slit his own throat on Saturday morning after his break-up.

The man was identified as R Karthikeyan. Karthikeyan, who hailed from the Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu but he was living at a rented house in Kamatchipuram.

As per reports, he used to work at a private company in Othakalmandapam. However, he has not reported to work for the last month.

Karthikeyan met the girl when was studying BE computer science at a private college around six years back. The two started dating four months ago and the girl took the decision of break-up, The Times of India reported.

During the investigation, it was found that the man was depressed after the break-up and had also started taking sleeping pills.

On Friday night, the man argued with his father and elder brother and allegedly assaulted them.

After the argument, Karthikeyan’s father went to a relative’s house while he walked away.

At around 5:45 am on Saturday, the 27-year-old man was found dead by one of his neighbours. According to reports, Karthikeyan used a razor to slit his throat and end his life.

The dead body was sent to the Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital for an autopsy. The body of the deceased was sent to his home after the post-mortem. Police registered a case in relation to the incident.
